What most dogs come in for.
Full groom
Bath, blow dry, full brush out, breed specific trim or a custom shape, face and paws tidied, nails and ears included. Matting worked out gently rather than pulled.
Bath and blow dry
Skin safe shampoo, a proper high velocity dry and a complete brush out. Takes the dead coat out, cuts shedding at home for weeks, no haircut involved.
Nail trim and paw tidy
Clipped to a comfortable length and filed smooth so nothing catches. Quick visit, calm handling, and we stop the moment your dog has had enough.
Ear clean and hygiene
Wax and debris cleared with safe solutions and a careful hand. Small job that heads off the irritation which turns into a vet visit later.
Prices move with size and coat condition. A matted standard poodle is a different job from a tidy cockapoo, and we will say so before we pick up a brush.
Full groom, by weight
Haircut, bath, dry, brush out, nails and ears. Weigh your dog at home and you will know the price before you ring.
No line items you did not expect.
Some places charge separately for the parts that should never have been separate. Nails and ears are in the price of a full groom here.
- Bath with a shampoo chosen for the coatSensitive skin, itchy skin and heavy shedders each get something different.
- Full dry and brush outNot a towel and a shrug. Dry to the skin, which is the part that prevents matting.
- Nails clipped and filedIncluded, not an upsell at the counter.
- Ears cleaned and checkedAlso included. If something looks wrong in there we tell you to see your vet.
- A finish cut to your dog, not a catalogueHand scissoring where it matters, and a shape your dog can actually live in.
Add ons, if you want them
Only if it applies
Matting and muzzle fees are decided at drop off, with you standing there, never added afterwards.
Find your dog, and book roughly that often.
The single biggest thing that keeps grooming cheap and comfortable is not leaving it too long. Matting is what turns a trim into a shave.
Doodles and curly coats
Goldendoodles, labradoodles, bichons, poodles. Beautiful coats that mat faster than owners expect, especially behind the ears and under the legs.
Wire and terrier coats
Schnauzers, terriers, cockers. Shape holds well between visits, and hand scissoring keeps the outline right.
Double coats
Huskies, shepherds, retrievers. Never shaved. A proper deshed and dry does more for shedding than a clipper ever will.
Short coats
Beagles, boxers, staffies. Mostly a bath, nails and ears. Quick visits, and the nails are the part that actually matters.
What actually happens to your dog.
You drop off
We go through the coat with you, agree the cut, and give you the price. Anything we are worried about, you hear now.
Bath and dry
Warm water, the right shampoo, then dried properly to the skin. Most dogs settle during this part.
The cut
Clippers and hand scissoring, breaks whenever your dog needs one. Nobody is held still to save ten minutes.
You pick up
Nails, ears, a final tidy, and an honest word about anything we found. The price is the price you were told.
