Booking and Appointments

Appointments can be booked by phone, text, or through this website. Your appointment is confirmed once we confirm it with you directly. Please arrive on time so we can stay on schedule for the pets after yours.

Cancellations

Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. Repeat missed appointments may require a deposit to book again.

Pricing

Prices listed on this site are starting prices. Final pricing depends on your dog's size, coat condition, behavior, and the service selected. Dogs that are matted, heavily shedding, or need extra handling time may cost more. We'll tell you before we begin if the price is going to change.

Health

Please tell us before your appointment about any medical conditions, allergies, skin issues, injuries, past surgeries, or medications. We can't groom dogs that appear ill or contagious, and we may end an appointment early if a dog shows signs of illness.

Matted Coats

Severe matting is a health issue, not a styling issue. Removing heavy mats can require shaving the coat short. Skin under matting can be red, irritated, or damaged, and problems like redness or sores can show up during or after the groom even when handled carefully. If your dog is matted, we'll talk through the options with you before we start.

Behavior and Handling

Your dog's safety and our staff's safety come first. If a dog becomes aggressive, panicked, or unsafe to handle, we'll stop and call you to pick them up. Payment is still due for the work completed. You're responsible for any injury your dog causes to our staff or another animal on our premises.

Senior and Special Needs Dogs

Grooming can be stressful for older dogs and dogs with health conditions. We groom these dogs for comfort and cleanliness rather than appearance, and we may keep the session short. Talk to us about your dog's needs when you book.

Pickup

Please pick up your dog promptly once we let you know they're ready.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service.

Photos

We may photograph your dog before and after grooming and use those photos on our website and social media. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us and we won't.

Limitation of Liability

We take care of every dog we handle, but grooming involves live animals, sharp tools, and unpredictable behavior. To the fullest extent allowed by Utah law, A x A Dog Grooming is not liable for pre-existing conditions, conditions revealed by grooming, or reactions and injuries that occur despite reasonable care. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the service in question.
